FomoPlus App By Websoul Infotech provides service to merchants who use Shopify to power their stores.

This Privacy Policy describes how personal information is collected, used, and shared when you install or use the App in connection with your Shopify-supported store.

Introduction

FomoPlus is a Shopify app that provides social proof and urgency features to help merchants increase conversion rates on their storefronts. The app offers Countdown Timers, Discount Showcases, Live Viewers (social proof display), and Stock Alerts.

This Privacy Policy describes how information is collected, used, and shared when you install or use FomoPlus in connection with your Shopify-supported store. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.

Store Information We Collect

What We Do NOT Collect

FomoPlus does not collect, process, or retain any personal data of customers or visitors of your Shopify store. This includes, but is not limited to:

NO Assets API Usage: FomoPlus does NOT use the Shopify Assets API. The app does not access, modify, or store any theme files or assets.

NO Order Data Storage: While FomoPlus receives checkout creation webhooks for potential future analytics, it currently does NOT store any order data, customer information from orders, or checkout information.

What We Do Collect

FomoPlus only collects and stores merchant/app data that is necessary for the app to function and provide its services. This includes:

1. Session Data

  • Data Stored: Shop domain, access tokens, admin user information (for merchants who install/use the app)
  • Note: This is standard Shopify app session data required for the app to function. Admin user data (firstName, lastName, email) is only stored for merchants who install the app, not for store customers.

2. App Settings

  • Data Stored: Shop domain, app enabled/disabled status, creation timestamp

3. Transaction/Billing Data

• • Purpose: Manage app subscriptions and billing
  • Data Stored: Shop domain, billing ID, plan name, plan price, subscription status, activation/cancellation dates, trial information
  • Note: This is standard billing data required for subscription management.

4. App Uninstallation Records

• • Purpose: Track app uninstallations for analytics and support
  • Data Stored: Shop domain, uninstallation reason (if provided), notes, timestamp

5. Metafields

• • Purpose: Enable/disable app features on storefronts
  • Data Stored: Boolean metafield on shop object indicating if FomoPlus is enabled
  • Note: This is a simple boolean flag, not customer data.

How Do We Use Your Information?

No Customer Data Usage: Since FomoPlus does not collect any customer or visitor data, no customer data is used for any purpose.

Merchant data is only used for the following purposes:

• • App Functionality and Authentication: Session data and access tokens are used to authenticate and enable the app to function properly within your Shopify store
  • Subscription and Billing Management: Transaction and billing data are used to manage your app subscription, process payments, and handle billing-related operations
  • App Configuration and Settings: App settings are used to store your preferences and configuration choices for the FomoPlus features
  • Support and Analytics: We use app usage data (not customer behavior data) to provide support, improve the app, and understand how merchants use FomoPlus features

Sharing Your Information

No Personal Information Sharing: No personal information is shared because no personal information is collected. FomoPlus does not collect, process, or retain any personal data of customers or visitors of your Shopify store.
